ap'pro'pri'ate

adjective: especially suitable :

"an appropriate response"

"remarks appropriate to the occasion"

dirty dozen

"I'd rather be a part of the Dirty Dozen than the Appropriate Twelve"

While someone may think singing "Jingle Bells" while walking down an office hallway in the middle of July, is not appropriate. Someone else will think it's fine.

I guess being "Appropriate" is like most everything else, it's all in the eye of the beholder. (just have to find the beholder)

However, where as "Appropriate" is a very vague word. It's almost an authoritative phrase. Appropriate, Policy, The Rules, Official.

If Appropriate is really a "Rule", then what are the "Rules"? We need some "Beholders"!

The left column contains some "Rules" so far.

If you want some others posted, please fill in the "contact us form" and I will list it in the "Appropriate" ( just kidding) category.

The disclaimer is, we do not keep email addresses, sell them, use them in any way to contact you or have anybody contact you. We will modify or not use any "Rules" that cannot be a "G" rating. Please contribute.

Thank you.
